The Sister Servants of the Eternal Word were founded by Mother Mary Gabriel Long in 1987. Their retreat house Casa Maria is in Irondale.
St. Katharine Drexel visited Most Pure Heart of Mary parish in downtown Mobile, AL. There is a plaque in the church commemorating her visit.
