Married lay woman from the Diocese of Steubenville. She is the cofounder of the Apostalate for Family Consecration. She died in 2002.
Bl. Schervier was a German nurse and foundress of the Poor Sisters of St. Francis and the Franciscan Sisters of the Poor. She visited the United States twice. The first time was to Cincinnatti, OH where she cared for wounded Civil War soldiers. The Archdiocese of Cincinnatti is involved in her cause for canonization due to a reported miracle there.
Her second visit to the US was to Covington, KY where 12 sisters from her order served at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was there in 1868 for the dedication of the new hospital.
