The Diocese of Metuchen, NJ opened her cause in 2009. Read about her here and ask for her intercession.  More to come, but her story is remarkable. She was born in Venezuela and died of Parkinson's in NJ. She is the mother of 7. She saw Our Lady at the visions in Betania, Venzuela. She was friends with St. Pio.

Read the blog post here. Bl. Demjanovich was a member of the Sisters of Charity of St. Elizabeth. She died in 1927.  She was declared Venerable in 2012 by Pope Benedict XVI. She was beatified in 2014. The miracle attributed to her was the restoration of sight to a child with juvenile macular degenration. Read more about her here.

Marinus LaRue was a Merchant Marie Captain. He saved hundreds of Korean War refugees in 1950. In 1954 he became a Benedictine Brother. He died in October 2021. The Diocese of Paterson, NJ opened his cause for canonization. Read more here.

Prayer for the Cause of Capt. LaRue/ Brother Marinus, O.S.B.

God, our Father, Creator of the seas, Protector of refugees, and all those in need,

You called Captain Leonard LaRue to recognize Your Son Jesus Christ in the faces of the Korean refugees, and led him as Brother Marinus to a life of prayer and service in the tradition of St. Benedict.

May his life be an inspiration to us, and lead us to greater confidence in Your love so that we may continue his work of caring for the people of the sea, welcoming those who are refugees from war, and deepening all the faithful in their prayer and work of service.

We humbly ask that You glorify Your servant Captain Leonard LaRue/Brother Marinus, O.S.B. on earth according to the design of Your holy will, and the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Through Christ our Lord.

Italian born. Laywoman, mother, Marian devotee. Founded Chapel House of St. Gerard in NJ. Died in 1927. Read more here.
