This saint, born in France, founded the Sisters of Providence and Saint Mary of the Woods College in 1840 in Indiana. At her museum you can see her writing desk, chaplet, shoes, prayer book and more. Her tomb is located in the chapel.

Known for establishing the Poor Clares in America, this Italian born nun came with her sister in 1875, as members of the Order of St. Clare of the Primitive Observance to the United States. Initially called to Minnesota, that fell through. The sisters reached out to bishops in New York, Philadelphia but were rejected due to their cloistered life. They found their way to New Orleans, Omaha and finally Indiana.
She died in 1905 in Evansville, IN, where her monastery still remains. You can find information about the monastery here.

John McAuliffe was born in 1886. He lost both parents at nine and went to live at St. Agnes Home for Children, run by the Spark Hill Dominicans .He joined a novitiate in Metuchen, New York with the Brothers of the Sacred Heart.
On Nov. 21, 1903, Brother Norbert took religious vows and taught at St. Patrick’s school in Indianapolis. He got a Bachelor of Science from Loyola University in New Orleans. In 1931 he became a missionary in Uganda. He died on July 3, 1959. He was declared Venerable in 2018.
Brother Columba O'Neill's cause was opened in June, 2022 by the Diocese of Fort Wayne- South Bend, Indiana. You can read an article here from the Diocesan newspaper. John O'Neill was born in Mackeysburg, Pennsylvania, November 5, 1848 and baptized sub conditione because he wasn't expected to live long since he was born with a clubbed foot. He became a brother with the Congregation of Holy Cross on September 8, 1874 at the University of Notre Dame. For over 40 years he worked as a shoemaker and cared for the sick at night. He was know as the "Miracle Man of Notre Dame" as he traveled and cared for the sick. He made and sent out thousands of Sacred Heart badges.
Brother Columba died on November 20, 1923 from the side effects of the Spanish Flu he got i 1918. From his death to 1960, thousands would visit his grave, taking dirt from it. His apostolate and cause for canonization were revived in 2020. Read more here.
